Tafseer ul Quran

آية الكرسي:

اللَّهُ لَا إِلَٰهَ إِلَّا هُوَ الْحَيُّ الْقَيُّومُ ۚ لَا تَأْخُذُهُ سِنَةٌ وَلَا نَوْمٌ ۚ لَهُ مَا فِي السَّمَاوَاتِ وَمَا فِي الْأَرْضِ ۗ مَنْ ذَا الَّذِي يَشْفَعُ عِندَهُ إِلَّا بِإِذْنِهِ ۚ يَعْلَمُ مَا بَيْنَ أَيْدِيهِمْ وَمَا خَلْفَهُمْ ۖ وَلَا يُحِيطُونَ بِشَيْءٍ مِّنْ عِلْمِهِ إِلَّا بِمَا شَاءَ ۚ وَسِعَ كُرْسِيُّهُ السَّمَاوَاتِ وَالْأَرْضَ ۖ وَلَا يَئُودُهُ حِفْظُهُمَا ۚ وَهُوَ الْعَلِيُّ الْعَظِيمُ

English Translation (Sahih International):

Allah – there is no deity except Him, the Ever-Living, the Sustainer of [all] existence. Neither drowsiness overtakes Him nor sleep. To Him belongs whatever is in the heavens and whatever is on the earth. Who is it that can intercede with Him except by His permission? He knows what is [presently] before them and what will be after them, and they encompass not a thing of His knowledge except for what He wills. His Kursi extends over the heavens and the earth, and their preservation tires Him not. And He is the Most High, the Most Great.

Tafsir (Explanation in English):

Ayat al-Kursi is considered the greatest verse in the Quran. It describes the absolute Oneness, Knowledge, Power, and Sovereignty of Allah. It declares that Allah is ever-living and self-sustaining, unaffected by any weakness such as sleep. Everything in the heavens and earth belongs to Him. No one can intercede without His permission. His knowledge is all-encompassing, and nothing escapes His control. The term "Kursi" (throne) symbolizes His supreme authority and dominion. This verse is often recited for protection and spiritual strength.

اردو ترجمہ (آزاد انداز میں):

اللہ ہی وہ ذات ہے جس کے سوا کوئی معبود نہیں، وہ ہمیشہ زندہ ہے اور ہر چیز کو سنبھالنے والا ہے۔ نہ اسے اونگھ آتی ہے اور نہ نیند۔ جو کچھ آسمانوں اور زمین میں ہے وہ سب اسی کا ہے۔ کون ہے جو اُس کی اجازت کے بغیر اُس کے سامنے سفارش کر سکے؟ وہ جانتا ہے جو کچھ ان کے سامنے ہے اور جو کچھ ان کے پیچھے ہے، اور وہ اس کے علم میں سے کسی چیز کا احاطہ نہیں کر سکتے مگر جو وہ چاہے۔ اس کی کرسی آسمانوں اور زمین پر محیط ہے، اور ان کی حفاظت اُسے تھکاتی نہیں، اور وہ بلند مرتبہ اور عظمت والا ہے۔

مختصر تفسیر:

یہ آیت اللہ تعالیٰ کی عظمت، علم، قدرت، اور کامل ربوبیت کی عکاسی کرتی ہے۔ اللہ کی صفات میں کوئی نقص یا کمی نہیں، وہ ہر وقت بیدار، ہر چیز پر نگران اور مکمل بااختیار ہے۔ کسی کو اجازت کے بغیر اس کے حضور سفارش کی بھی مجال نہیں۔ اس کی "کرسی" سے مراد اس کا علم، اختیار اور اقتدار ہے جو زمین و آسمان پر چھایا ہوا ہے۔ آیت الکرسی حفاظت اور برکت کے لیے بکثرت پڑھی جاتی ہے اور احادیث میں اس کے فضائل بہت آئے ہیں۔
